A bit about Charles & Ian: |
Ian Edelstein was born and schooled in New Hampshire in the New England region of the United States. He studied art and photography at Colorado College in Colorado Springs. In the early 1990's he spent several years in the former Soviet Union, documenting, among other things, mass- hypnosis treatment for alcoholism and drug addiction. Following that he churned out work at a photographic lab in Seattle before landing a post as the Official City Photographer of Seattle. There he spent 8 years photographing everything from construction projects from a helicopter to salmon migrations underwater and all sundry in between. In 2004, he relocated to the Helderberg Region of South Africa and began teaching at the Stellenbosch Academy of Design & Photography and at the Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design. Ian has exhibited his fine art work internationally for more than 15 years. |
